After a busy week preparing and performing Magical Moments in Narnia, the Starlings had some relaxing in the garden and learned how to prepare and feed the fire in the Kelly kettle. What better to do with all that hot water than make hot chocolate and toast marshmallows in the flames?!
Today we welcomed back the Wild Things for our final session. We reflected on what we had learned this term about composting, sustainability and what we can do to slow down climate change. The wild things did all their outdoor jobs such as harvesting the Jerusalem artichokes and collecting, emptying and cleaning the compost bins.
The Starlings have been learning about sustainability. They harvested the green tomatoes, cooked and bottled them. They have designed wonderful labels to promote the sale of the Green Tomato Chutney.
