Spring Term Wild Things spring into action

We welcomed our new group of Wild Things today.  Father Nature and his team greeted us and explained the new project – creating a pathway and steps for a new shed.  The Wild Things added a pebble to the foundations and will now be a  part of it!

Mastering Area

The children in Year 5 have been approaching the subject of area in many different ways including with unifix.  They made an array to represent a multiplication for example 3 x 4 and noticed that this also represented the area of the rectangular shape..

Winter Wild Things

Prepare for the fair!

It was all hands on deck today, the last Friday before the winter fair.  The Wild Things are preparing to sell a selection of items and were busy sanding, snipping, cutting and tying ribbons.  We’ve still some finishing off to do next week.  Look out for some hand crafted gifts on Friday.
