Restoration and rehousing projects

The final phase of the furniture restoration took place today.  The Wild Things varnished the little wooden kitchen to protect it from the rain. We will be returning it to Heathbrook Hub after half term.  I am sure the toddlers will enjoy it on the next coffee morning.

Little Red setting description

Year 5 have been spending this week  in literacy practising techniques to develop detail for their setting descriptions.  In groups, the children worked together to create setting descriptions which contained personification, simile, adjectives, adverbs and plenty more delicious details!

Discoveries in the Wild life garden

The Wild Things spent the afternoon finding what they could harvest for the playground sale.  They also made a few unexpected discoveries – a very long worm and a very short newt.  Both were carefully put back into their habitat.
