Phonics Meeting

Heathbrook Fringe Festival

We have had a great week celebrating Heathbrook Fringe Festival and World Book Day. We created our own plays in small groups based on traditional tales and then performed them in class and assembly.

Delicious Hot Chocolate!

We have been looking at a variation of pictorial representations of number bonds to 10 including the ten frame, part-whole model and the bar model. We are representing these using concrete objects as well as on whiteboards as mathematical  statements.

Vauxhall City Farm

We loved our visit to the farm. We learnt about which farm animals are herbivores, omnivores and carnivores. We got to handle and feed a range of animals which was so much fun! A great experience linked to our topic this term.

Measuring the rain!

This week we went outside to measure how much it had rained since we made our rain gauges. We used funnels to help us pour the rain into measuring jugs and then recorded what we found in our books.
