Trinity College were delighted to offer Arts Award certificates to these children for participation in 20 hours of study in an arts activity and presenting their discoveries. Well done to all these pupils who worked so hard on the National Trust 575 after school club and the participants of the Gursky schools takeover at the Hayward Gallery.
Year 6 had a go at 2 STEM challenges and incorporated their knowledge of Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths to build the highest 3D, free-standing pyrmaid out of the materials provided.
They assigned each group member a specific role and competed for the title of ‘Best Builder’ in Year 6.
We learnt this week that the Egyptian Headdress (also referred to as Head Crowns) that the Pharaohs wore, had many different names and meanings to them. Depending on what type of Royal Headdress they wore, it always had a significance to some event or ritual and were a symbol of royalty and power.
