Year 6 make Pyramids

Year 6 had a go at 2 STEM challenges and incorporated their knowledge of Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths to build the highest 3D, free-standing pyrmaid out of the materials provided.

They assigned each group member a specific role and competed for the title of ‘Best Builder’ in Year 6.

Do you like our Ancient Egyptian Headdresses?

We learnt this week that the Egyptian Headdress (also referred to as Head Crowns) that the Pharaohs wore, had many different names and meanings to them. Friday afternoon is the time year 5 can make and explore their theme of the Ancient Egyptians.  Take a look at their creations.  There is some amazing 3D drawing going on from Eugene too,  I reckon if he’d lived in Ancient Egypt he could have designed a pyramid.

Big Art Picnic with WildCity

It was another amazing event in Heathbrook Park at the weekend. Coordinators from the Wandsworth Fringe were hugely impressed with the atmosphere, sense of community and PTA involvement. Both they and the WildCity artists who organised the activities have asked us to thank to parents and carers who staffed the refreshments stall.
