Pulling and pickling turnips

With the expertise of Chef Amber, our year 5 cooks prepared and pickled their turnip harvest.  They used the 3-2-1 recipe formula plus interesting flavour enhancers to develop their own pickling liqueur.  Thanks again, Chef Amber and all the year 5 gardeners and cooks.

Exciting developments were to be found in the Wild life garden today .

We now have our own water supply.  Goodbye to hauling a hosepipe across the playground. We can now fill our watering cans directly from the stand pipe.

Transformations Today

A dedicated team of Wild Things got productive.  So many seeds have now been planted in the green house.  What is amazing is that some of the seeds were collected this autumn after harvesting the last of the produce. It is very satisfying to plant the seeds produced in our garden.

Wild weather!

The wind was whistling through the bare trees today and our thoughts were about the wild birds in the garden. The Wild Things smeared fat onto cardboard tubes and rolled them in  bird seed  it was a very messy job, but someone had to do it!

Spring Term Wild Things spring into action

We welcomed our new group of Wild Things today.  Father Nature and his team greeted us and explained the new project – creating a pathway and steps for a new shed.  The Wild Things added a pebble to the foundations and will now be a  part of it!
