Our year 5 ‘Garden Cooks’ shredded our home-grown cavolo nero crop ready to bake some healthy crisps.  A big ‘thank you’ to the Heathkidz children who harvested it the afternoon before.

Mmm … I wonder why some of the leaves are full of holes?

Why were our hands green after the shredding?  We guessed it might be the chlorophyll in the leaves…

Our Cooks stirred in oil, salt and pepper, chilli powder and paprika and put the trays in the oven.

Our crisps were delicious – crunchy and just like seaweed!
