Liz from Teach-it-Through-Drama dressed up in Victorian finery to present the Charles Dickens classic “A Christmas Carol.”  We were introduced to the colourful characters in the story,  the mean and miserly Scrooge and his humble but caring clerk Bob Cratchit.  These were admirably played by George and Jayden.  We met ghosts with rattling chains,  lost loves,  hungry children and the ghost of Scrooge’s dead partner Jacob Marley.

The whole of the juniors were spell bound by the theatrics and drama of the story,  which ends joyfully with Scrooge embracing Christmas and the true meaning of the day.

Everyone took part offering sound effects and playing characters.  It has been said that the Victorians invented Christmas and this certainly put our students in the mood for a holiday and in the words of Tiny Tim, “Merry Christmas one and all!”
