Maths: We will be adding and subtracting 2 numbers with an exchange.
Literacy: This week we will be planning and writing our own playscript based on the story of Nen and the Lonely Fisherman. We will include examples of descriptive noun phrases and prepositions.
Topic: We will begin a geography topic on Climates.
Spanish: We will consolidate our learning so far on numbers and greetings.
Science: We will be doing a practical investigation relation to muscles and will be applying the scientific skills of predicting, hypothesing, testing and evaluating.
Home Learning
We provide home learning to develop children’s independence and confidence, consolidating what is being taught in school and preparing them for future learning. We recognise that children and their families have differing circumstances and we aim to make our home learning appropriate and accessible for all pupils. The students’ logins are pasted in the backs of their reading logs.
In Year 3 we encourage:
- Daily reading – at least 20 minutes per day
- First News
- Mathletics
- Times Table Rockstars
