Year 5 had the most wonderful day out in Painshill Park.  They worked in teams using a compass and an ordinance survey map to find 10 key locations and spot the ordinance survey flag to collect their stamp.  The race was on to meet  at the old fort at the end!  It was a beautiful and invigorating walk around the grounds.  There were hills and vines, lakes and hidden caves.  Have a look at the sights we saw.

The children worked in teams to create a water proof den.  They supported each other with the heavy work and had many ingenious plans for the structures.  Unfortunately (or fortunately…) most of the dens weren’t very waterproof and poor Year 5 got soaked!

The children loved their day out and were so happy they sang all the way home!
