Our Vision and Values reflect our belief that the involvement of parents and carers in learning is key to the success of every child. We aim to achieve this by working in partnership with parents and carers. Parent and carer volunteers are an essential part of our community team at Heathbrook.

We have a thriving Reading Volunteers group consisting of parents, family and friends of Heathbrook, past and present. The Volunteers help Heathbrook children with their reading in many different ways; for example, they come in at different times of the day and support across the year groups from Reception up to Year 6. Some Volunteers work in the Library helping children choose books whilst others like to hear individual children reading.

The network of volunteers is very supportive and meets regularly, both formally and informally. If you are keen to find out more, please speak with Marion Guertin or come along to one of our gathering in the Library – look out for dates in our weekly newsletter.
