Heathbrook’s very own “all-year-round community care”
We provide an extended provision during holiday breaks in order to support the community.Holiday Heath Kidz is affordable and safe childcare based on the school site and staffed by our experienced, friendly, Heathbrook staff. It is structured to keep children active, engaged and supported in a warm, inclusive environment.
As an extension of the school’s Heath Kidz and Breakfast Club, it is only offered to Heathbrook pupils from Nursery to year 6.
This provision has been created in partnership with our parents and carers. Their considerable feedback and input has been invaluable.

Frequently asked questions
How is this offer different to others operated by a franchise?
Holiday Heath Kidz is run by Heathbrook staff for Heathbrook pupils only. This means that the pupils will know each other and the staff and will also benefit from being in a familiar environment.
Can I book my child in for the main activity only?
Yes. The focus activity will run between 10am and 2pm, with a break for lunch. It is advised to book your child into the 9am to 3pm slot.
Can I book my child in for one day only?
Yes. The offer is flexible.
My child has Free School Meals (FSM). Will a packed lunch be provided?
No. All families eligible for FSM will receive funding for their child’s holiday lunches in advance through the voucher scheme.
What is for breakfast?
A buffet including a choice of different cereals, toast, crumpets and pancakes.
What is for the afternoon snack?
Healthy fruit options and/or a sandwich/toast.
Can my child eat snacks during the day?
Fruit is provided mid-morning but children can bring their own fruit.
How are SEND pupils supported?
In the same way that they are supported in Heath Kidz. Holiday Heath Kidz is not funded by the school budget or EHCP funding, which is strictly limited to school term time only. However, familiar pupils, staff and environment naturally reduces anticipatory anxiety. If you have a specific question about your child, please speak with Stephanie White, our Senior Pastoral Lead.
Will the age groups be mixed?
The school uses the Hub, lower hall, middle hall, Art Room, playground and Wildlife Garden. Provision and supervision is adapted to the ages of the pupils.
