Regular school attendance is important to ensure children get maximum benefit from the opportunities for learning.
Our school day starts at 8.55am and to help children regulate themselves, they can enter the building and classrooms from 8.50am (8.45am for Year 6s who are developing even greater independence for their learning). Children can also attend our Breakfast Club any time from 7.30am, whilst staff also run Before School Activities each day beginning at 8am.
The school day ends at 3.15pm, although our wide range of After School Activities are available for an hour until 4.15pm. Our choir and orchestra rehearsals also continue until 3.30pm. Children can stay onsite until 6pm at our Heath Kidz After School Club.
The responsibility for ensuring children attend school regularly and punctually rests with parents and carers. Our Attendance and Punctuality Policy explains how we work in partnership with parents and carers to achieve this. Please complete an Absence Request Form if you are considering keeping your child out of school for any reason apart from medical needs.
