Year 6

This Week’s Learning

Week commencing Monday 21st September

Maths –  This week Year 6 will be learning written and mental skills for addition and subtraction.

Literacy – We are continuing to read ‘The boy, the mole, the fox and the horse’ by Charlie Mackesy.  Pupils will be introducing a new character to the story and writing an alternative chapter.

Science/Outdoor learning – Using the tomatoes from the Wildlife Garden, we will be making some delicious recipes.

Ongoing Learning

Reading – All pupils will read with an adult in school at least once a week.  Year 6 pupils are expected to read at home for at least 25 minutes a day – 5 times a week.  Pupils need to arrive at school each day with their reading records and reading books.

PE – We have PE on Tuesday and Wednesday afternoons.  Tuesday will be general fitness skills whilst Wednesday will be lacrosse.
