Week commencing Monday 18th March 2019
This week in Literacy, we will be writing stories about our class mascots. Last week, we learnt lots of facts about the animal that our mascot represents. For Blackbirds this was a Kiwi bird, for Skylarks this was a penguin and for Owls, this was an owl. We will now be planning adventure stories about them that we can incorporate realistic facts into to bring the characters to life.
In Maths, Year 4s are continuing to focus on decimals through comparing, ordering and rounding. Year 3 are focusing on measurement, with a focus on length.
In History, we will are going back to the Romans to learn how they changed Britain when they invaded.
We also have a Year 3 workshop run by the Tate Britain on Wednesday which will follow on from the photograph session we had at the beginning of the year, run by Alexander McQueen.
Swimming remains the same this term, with Blackbirds and Owls going every Friday. Blackbirds arrive back at school at as close to 3.30pm as we can (encouraging your children to get dressed quickly means we can be back as close to home time as possible!)
